The Grange Primary School
Council
|
Our School Council is an important feature of school life, encouraging our pupils to adopt a positive, responsible, active and participatory role in the development of their school. We encourage our pupils to engage in dialogue with their Governors, Headteacher, Teachers, Parents and Peers in order to be fully involved in bringing about positive changes. The members are elected rather than selected and are truly representative of our school population. They are supported in the development of democratic methods of working, being open to ideas from peers and prepared to act on important issues. Thus we develop their understanding of being a good Citizen. The participation of pupils, Headteacher, Teacher Rep., Governor Rep., and P.T.A. Rep. ensures that a genuine balance of opinion is gained when discussing issues. Our Mission Statement reflects this belief: "IN
PARTNERSHIP WE AIM HIGH TO REACH OUR GOALS" |
